OVERALL PERSONALITY [/blockquote]
OUTSIDE GLANCE - The quiet one. Nate has always been that one individual who would rather sit on his own and stay occupied with his own activities and thoughts than go out and socialize. He's very critical and catches on to even the finest details rather quickly. Extremely attentive and has always been bright. And although he is constantly pondering, almost all of his focus is placed on the arts. His brain is practically constructed of shapes, lines, and theories. He doesn't seem to care for much else.
FIRST IMPRESSION - After his parents gave him up, Nate was practically destroyed. His initial reaction was defeat, constantly feeling unworthy of their love and terribly empty without that bond. But as time passed, he grew into a state of mind that altered him in the strongest sense and left everyone wondering what was wrong. He dropped all of his close relationships and spoke very minimally even when spoken to. He built a wall around himself to prevent growing too close to anyone else, in fear that the pain from the loss of his parents will return. He's kept this up to the point in which he's established himself as a stuck up ass with a sour attitude, essentially. He generally doesn't say much and has never been very kind to those he is unfamiliar with. He has little interest in having children, getting married, or even making friends. He prefers a life to himself and it would take too much effort to change his mind now.
LOOSENING UP - If anyone manages to tear through the intial difficultly of getting to know Nate, he is still a peculiar guy. He has a sarcastic, somewhat crude sense of humor and doesn't generally let himself go. He doesn't party, he doesn't drink, he doesn't smoke. He prefers playing it safe and puts anyone who doesn't on a level beneath him. He hates to admit it, but in certain situations, he's far from brave. New things terrify him and despite his general confidence he can be a major chicken. He's that guy in the group who is always saying "We shouldn't be doing this" or "Can I go home?". When forced to socialize, he prefers surrounding himself with the cooler crowd rather than party goers.
HOT UNDER THE COLLAR - When angered, Nate tends to show off his ugliest side. He has little patience when he's forced to wait for things and is easily frustrated. Ignorance and sheer stupidity seem to get under his skin the most frequently, but an insult will light him on fire. He's not afraid to say what's on his mind and will gladly set boundaries with you. He despises disrespect but tends to be hypocritical in the sense that he himself can be a name-calling brat and isn't afraid to show his fury in a physical manner. Not one to mess with.

OVERALL HISTORY [/blockquote]
- Born 20 years ago to a pair of young parents. Both of them were only 16 when the little bundle of joy arrived. Neither of the two were truly ready for a child, and Nate was truly an unwanted surprise.
- They attempted to raise Nate for the first ten years of his life. His father worked to support them on his own, but Alicia, his mother, gave up on seeking a college education and went to work as well. Despite their attempt to be good parents, Nate was left in his grandmother's care for a majority of his younger years.
- The pressures of having a child and barely being able to live a decent life stressed his parents beyond their limit. Just before his eleventh birthday, Tom lost his job and the family was relying completely upon Alicia for support. Both Tom and Alicia decided they couldn't handle the responsibility and gave up custody of their son, allowing his grandmother, Margret, to have guardianship of the boy. The couple moved out of Arizona to Houston in search of better job opportunities.
- Though still young, Nate was faced with overwhelming grief as his parents dropped their connections from his life. They sent cards on his birthday and assured him that they still loved him. Despite their efforts, Nate still felt as if he wasn't good enough. He began growing into a state of mind in which everyone he was close to would hurt him in the same manner. He entered middle school without many friends, and continued through his highschool years ambiguously. He spent a majority of his time absorbed in drawing and crafting. He had no social interests.
- At the age of 18, he graduated highschool and had a dream of attending college to hone his artistic skills. His grandmother had little means of providing that for him, and despite the fact that she couldn't do much for that, he ran away from home. He wanted a new start in a new place. He had no desire to stay in the hellhole of Scottsdale any longer, the place in which he suffered for a majority of his life. He didn't run far, remaining in Arizona and landing in a town known as Sundance.
- Discovered a job opening at a carnival. Displeased with the environment, but satisfied with the fact that he gets to work as a stagehand, creating scenes and props for various productions. He's determined to find a job that pulls in more money.
- Currently just getting by and living in obscurity.

ROLE PLAYING SAMPLE [/blockquote]
(Warning! This is beyond ancient but it's all I could hunt down ;c)
The rhythm of the speakers was all brushed off as mere background noise to William Hazard, his thoughts grumbling and clicking far louder than any of the sounds around him. He seemed quite casual in his surroundings on this lazy afternoon. Sitting thoughtfully at a table close to the bar, observing a slim section of the newspaper with strained interest. Dressed in a pale blue shirt, long sleeves pushed up to his elbows and his dark jeans clinging to his skin comfortably, he didn't appear to be nearly as stressed as he truly was. Stressed? Will? Oh yes, the idea would've sounded absurd to the young man a few months prior to this day, yet those times had passed. He was now a mere struggling citizen of his new town, socially void to his new community. It was an odd feeling, being so vacant from the familiar warmth of company. He was an outgoing individual, and it seemed so unnatural for him to be so stranded from any new friends. But, he was too unsatisfied with himself to focus on finding a few mates to joke around with. Ah, no. He had more things to wrap his mind around; the fact that he was in dire need of a job if he were ever going to support his lacking American life. He'd come to this nation to explore new opportunities. But, how distant those opportunities seemed when he could hardly even get by with the small feed of money from his family back in the UK. He closed his eyes in memory to his old parents, their smiling faces over-riding his anxious woes. He grinned to himself as he could practically hear their hopeful voices ringing clearly in his ears. They had faith in him. They would provide him the strength he needed while he adjusted to his new life. True, it would take time. Yet he had to keep an optimistic vibe in his heart and a spring in his step. He couldn't be conquered by a simple life struggle. He would tame his worries swiftly. He was sure of it.
Slowly, Will leaned back in his chair, stretching his skinny arms over his head as his mouth opened in a quiet yawn. He folded up the small chuck of his paper, the want ads displayed suddenly disappearing into his pocket. The pages lacking options bored him, all the available jobs requiring some sort of previous talent, none of which William possessed. He would continue hunting, but for now, he would at least enjoy the busy atmosphere of the music hall while he was here. Swiftly, he stood up from his seat at the table, making his way over to the bar with long strides. Though, he did not drink. This was an old habit, his beliefs rooted from those of parents. They rarely even sipped a glass of wine, and the world of beer and fruity cocktails was all too distant from them. But, Will was content without alcohol, and it made little sense as to why he was roaming over to the bar. Perhaps he'd order a virgin drink? Or perhaps he was merely dropping by the area to investigate the people surrounding it. Surely he didn't desire to get involved with any drunks, but he knew it was early and activity here was dwindling. Lunchtime was gone, and most of the crowd had left. But he was just curious, and frankly, craving some sort of human presence other than a brief chat with some stranger. He was looking for companions. And as he approached the bar, he noticed a young lady behind the bar. Apparently a bartender, seeing as she was running over the bar with a wet cloth to clean it up. Will glanced her over with wonder, immediately asking multiple questions to himself. What's she like?
"Ello miss." His voice was deep, a strong English accent swinging in his words. "Enjoying this supremely exciting place?" he questioned in a sarcastic tone, a toothy smile on his face as he stopped in front of the bar, propping his elbows against the counter. He perched himself slightly to the woman's right, keeping his attitude relaxed and friendly. He was desperate for a friend. Maybe this lass could make one for him... or, maybe not?
