Roscoe is a lazy person, he looks lazy, he acts lazy, he talks lazy, he's just lazy. He walks slowly, without purpose and aimlessly most of the time. When he's not reading or walking around boredly, he's usually sleeping. He's very lethargic and can't go a day without at least one nap.[/size][/font]
But Roscoe can get motivated, it's just not very easy. When he gets fired up you better watch out because he can put the best to shame when he's motivated. He once constructed an entire city, made to scale, in only two nights without sleep. It was used to design a new city in Texas which was built in the following year.
Roscoe is smart, a prodigy turned genius. He can absorb so much information and then just use it for his own gains. He's always thinking, even when he appears to be sleeping, he's planning, always dreaming up something to make it better, getting more ideas on what he could do if the first plan failed.
Roscoe is also very sarcastic, he never really seems positive about much until it's something really important. He's kind of a downer if you spend enough time with him. He seems emotionless but really Roscoe is just too lazy to be excited about anything.

Roscoe Darby was born on an average temperature day in early January at an average time in mid afternoon. He was a quiet baby, didn't seem anything out of the normal, at least that's what his mother thought. She had her perfectly normal little boy and everything was all right with her about it. But Roscoe's father, Roscoe, saw something in his son. He could see that his only son's blank expression was one of calculative measures, absorbing everything he heard and saw. His son was learning even when he was a day old. His suspicions about his son's abilities were confirmed when at six months his son said his first word: "Sleep".[/size][/font]
Since then, whenever Yolie wasn't around, Roscoe Sr. would test his son with small things that would seem like puzzles and games, watching as his son mastered all of them into his toddler years. Roscoe Sr. convinced Yolie that they should have Roscoe Jr. tested to see if he could go into school early, and at age four, he was entered into the third grade.
He was smaller than the other kids, and surpassed them all as far as grades came, and earned the affections of the teachers with his adorable nature. The older students tried to tease him, to mock him for being so weird, so strange. But everything they tried, Roscoe would just stare at them with a blank expression before the others walked off, more disturbed than when they began.
As years went by a Roscoe shot up through the grades, kids left him more and more alone. Roscoe had not one friend in the world and would spend whatever free time he had that wasn't spent sleeping at his parents' deer sanctuary. He had always been a quiet boy, so his parents didn't notice that he stopped speaking entirely, falling into deep depression. School was crushing, it wasn't that the work was hard, but Roscoe felt like he was completely alone no matter what he did.
Roscoe remained that way as he graduated, now finding himself more alone than usual. He had not wanted to go to college because he would have been thirteen in college and besides, his parents wouldn't have been able to afford it. So for three years he just did Roscoe like things, not talking, being depressed, sleeping a lot, and it wasn't until he was approached by his father and a college official that he even did anything. Roscoe Sr. was worried about his son, and he figured that maybe college would be good for him instead of the nothing he did now. The college had seen his grades and test scores, and planned to offer a full scholarship to the young genius.
With some convincing, Roscoe accepted and went to college. While there, he discovered people didn't care that he was smart or younger than them, they were just there. Roscoe made friends for the first time in his life, started talking more and more. He's now in his sophomore year at Conway, and has friends that he'd try to keep by his side forever.
