"Charlie?" "Charlie who?" "Oh you mean that guy who works at the bookstore?" "Don't know him, he's quiet." "Oh wait, is he the guy that just started screaming his name back in middle school?" "I think he works at the bookstore now." "I still don't know who this Charlie bloke is." "I thought he killed himself..."
See, Charlie isn't very memorable. He's just a wall flower with what seems like absolutely no personality at all. For Charlie's whole life he's never felt important or like he was worth it. He was just a forgettable face in the crowd.
Any friends Charlie might have he'd cherish to death. They'd probably be regulars at the bookstore, or just also frequents of Ichiraku for dinner. Friends might either be someone completely different or someone who is just naturally social.
Charlie's not good with the romance. He's too shy. He'd crush, but because of the incident in 6th grade, he wouldn't pursue. He won't even talk to a person other than these two phrases: "Cash or credit?" or "Would you like a bag for these?". He knows no one will find interest in him, and he won't make himself be humiliated again like he was in the sixth grade. But if someone tries to get him in a relationship, he is a bisexual. He's just not open about it.
....Um... I don't think Charlie has any enemies.... Does anyone even know him enough to dislike him??

✖ CHARLES & NATE ✖ I could see these two getting along well. Despite the fact that my Nathaniel is stuck up his own butt & generally not the friendliest, Charles seems to be that nice, quiet guy he'd want to be around. I don't know how close they'd be, but I definitely see Nate appreciate his kind aura & generally invisible-ness much like his own. I could see Nate wandering into the bookshop hunting for art books & eventually the two would just have to say something to eachother ;) Small talk never hurts!
Just throwing that out there ♥
